2-3% of the world’s population have an intellectual impairment, which is 178-256 million people approximately worldwide.” (Source: WHO Report on Disability 2011) and still increasing, Virtus is on a mission to build an inclusive world for people with an intellectual impairment. 

#AthleteFirst aims to grow awareness of sport for people with intellectual impairments and elite sport competition opportunities for athletes with intellectual impairment. 

Virtus competition now features three eligibility groups, accessible to many more millions of people worldwide.
