Japan wasted no time asserting itself, racing to a 34–11 lead in the first quarter. Their pace and precision continued through the second quarter, extending their lead to 62–28 at halftime. Spain struggled to keep up with Japan’s tempo, and despite a few moments of pushback in the third, Japan maintained control and led 82–50 heading into the final period. With confidence and consistency, Japan closed out the match 107–73, securing the bronze medal in style.
