Virtus makes huge commitment to its future growth

Earlier this year, Virtus President Marc Truffaut announced that the Governing Board had committed to expanding its core staff team in order to build on the success of the rebrand, the 2019 Global Games and the ongoing growth of our programmes and activity.
Virtus is delighted to now announce that Emma Foden, Mousumi Mazumdar and Greg Dunk have all taken up new roles with the organisation.

Emma joins as Virtus Sport and Development Manager, supporting our sport committees to deliver the event and competition calendar and overseeing new development programmes. She brings extensive experience to the role, having previously worked with a number of sporting organisations and at events including the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

Mousumi is joining us as Communications Intern and will be assisting our social media work, newsletter and website updates. Mousumi has supported Virtus at a number of events in the past including the 2018 Summer Games and 2019 Global Games in Brisbane.

Finally Greg joins in a Marketing and Development role to grow the Virtus brand globally. He was previously General Manager of the 2019 Global Games and has extensive experience having supported a number of organisations as a marketing and communications consultant.

Mark Truffaut said “I am delighted to see this commitment come to fruition. Virtus’ programme and reach has grown substantially in recent years but we have depended upon a very small staff team. With these new roles we will be able to provide more effective services to our member organisations, develop new projects, and reach more athletes with an intellectual impairment in more nations”.
