#WeAreSport aims to inspire women and girls with an intellectual impairment into sport.

Virtus: World Intellectual Impairment Sport knows that young female athletes find it harder and less attractive to start playing sport than boys and men.

Through #SportChampions – athletes and administrators – from around the world, we have been giving female athletes the skills and knowledge to grow their profile on social media. This will allow them to become more widely known and also inspire other people like them to try something they might not have thought possible.

But #WeAreSport is not just for women and girls. Virtus has made all materials available to anyone who is looking to set-up Facebook pages or Twitter and Instagram profiles.

These easy to read and follow materials are available in a variety of languages. They contain everything you need to get going on social media.
