Records fall at Inas Open European Indoor Athletics Championships

Two more World Records have fallen on the second competition day of the Inas Open European Indoor Athletics Championships taking place in Helsinki, Finland.

In the Women’s 60 meters hurdles, Vanessa Lutonto (The Netherlands) set a new world record with a result of 10,06sec whilst Mikela Ristoski (Croatia) recrded her second world record of the event when she won the Long Jump with a result 5.28m.

Outstanding performances were also recorded by Jose Antonio Pineiro (Spain) taking gold in the 60m with a result 7,18 and also part of the team which won the 4×200 m relay.

A championship record was recorded when Gaetan Bonneau (France) won the 60m hurdles with a result of 8,81.

On the Sundays competition program there will be eleven finals.
